Dear Dreamers of this world and that,
We, Lady and Lord Dosis, invite you to lie down and embark upon a most tender and surprising voyage — Poetry Nap 🦜 The Nature of Love — on Saturday, November 15 at Ciel, Berkeley. Together we shall drift to an enchanted island where kindness governs the hours, and kinship is the common tongue — between roots and rivers, beasts and beings, you and we, they and she.
Our giant hot-air-balloon bed, the Dandy Duchess, awaits your presence — her great globe sighing with sleep, her sheets fluttering with curiosity. We’ll voyage together from the ground up, lying upon Ciel’s beautiful, star-polished floor, so BYOBedding! For your comfort we most emphatically recommend an ample nest of camping or sleeping mats, blankets, pillows, or inflatable clouds—the more plush, the more lush!
Doors open at 7:15 pm, so please arrive early to ready your cocoon before the night’s voyage begins. Feel free to arrive in pajamas, robes, or any attire befitting a gentle journey through dreams.
We promise: you are in for an otherworldly treat.

Only 90 dreamers may board—reserve your spot!
Online sales close at 7:15pm, Nov 15. If the Dandy Duchess still has room on her decks, door tickets are $40.

– Wind-Beneath-My-Wings Ticket*: $25 (9 tickets)

*The Dandy Duchess has reserved a few Wind-Beneath-My-Wings Tickets for dreamers who could use a little lift right now. If your purse naps but your heart’s awake, this one’s for you or a friend.

LYING DOWN IN CIEL
All spots are general admission, first come, first serve. There will be a row down the middle of the room left open to be able to exit. You will be lying upon the floor.
WHAT TO BRING
Yes, BYOBedding! We most emphatically recommend an ample nest of camping or sleeping mats, blankets, pillows, or inflatable clouds—the more plush, the more lush!
WHAT NOT TO BRING
No food or drink at Ciel. In order to have a peaceful, uninterrupted adult nap, although we love them dearly, please no children. The voyage is for ages 16 and up.
